Brad Collins and Andrew Price are the Founding Partners of Collins Price, PLLC and Greensboro disability lawyers with deep roots in the Triad. They focus their practice exclusively on Social Security Disability claims. Most clients they represent are seeking disability benefits through the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs.
Recently we sat down with Brad and Andrew to learn more about their practice and what inspired them to pursue a career in law.
Law School and Beyond
Brad grew up in Kernersville, NC near Greensboro and completed his undergrad at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following graduation, he was accepted to Wake Forest University’s School of Law.
Andrew grew up in Ohio and attended Capital University in Columbus as an undergrad before attending WFU’s School of Law. Andrew and Brad met during law school and after short stints at other firms, left their jobs to found Collins Price, PLLC.
Both partners had experience as disability lawyers in NC and wanted to focus their practice on serving disability claimants throughout the state.
Becoming Disability Lawyers in Greensboro, NC
Collins Price, PLLC was founded in 2012 with a single office located in Winston-Salem. Brad and Andrew were able to grow their practice largely based on word-of-mouth marketing and referrals from existing clients. The dynamic duo differentiated their firm by being directly accessible to and communicating frequently with their clients. That’s an approach disability claimants may not experience with another Social Security attorney in Greensboro.
Their efforts paid off as the firm grew to three locations, strategically located to serve Greensboro, NC and the greater Triad area.
Why They Love Being Greensboro Disability Lawyers
Social Security Disability lawyers impact claimants lives in deeply meaningful ways. And, because disability lawyers work on a contingency-fee basis, the attorneys at Collins Price, PLLC can serve clients who may otherwise not be able to afford hourly, fee-based services.
“I love when a journey works out favorably for a deserving client,” Brad said. “Claimants call us when they are in difficult situations. When a claim works out in their favor, and they realize they will now have access to healthcare and monthly disability benefit payments for the rest of their life, it’s a game changer for them. Their joy motivates our team to continue serving and helping as many people as we can.”
Andrew agrees. “From initial application to a decision, a disability claimant may wait years for their SSDI or SSI payments to begin. Our work is motivating because it changes the lives of so many deserving claimants for the better. To date, we have helped thousands of people gain access to the benefits they are entitled to receive. Our ability to make such a dramatic and positive impact on our clients’ lives is the most rewarding part of our job at Collins Price.”
